In May 2014 I joined Cirio on a trip from Venice to Naples via Pisa, the Tuscan countryside and Rome.
I started my journey across Italy in Venice. The Venetian people love their land and traditions and they deeply try to preserve the real atmosphere of their city and their Italian being. If you dig deeper there is a lot more to Venice than you see in a holiday brochure.

Next stop on our trip was Pisa and a visit to the famous leaning tower.
Next we explored the Maremma region of Tuscany. We visited the beautiful coastline and the countryside. We were also given a tour of fields where Cirio grow their tomatoes.
The third stop on our journey was the eternal city, Rome. The beauty here is all around, from the architecture and the art to the delicious amatriciana.
The last part of our journey was Posillipo, quarter of Naples. Here I discovered the roots of Cirio, the Italian tomato brand, that was born here over 160 years ago. Everything seems to remain the same: the atmosphere, the colours and the authentic flavour.
