In June of 2013 I joined the Land Rover team at Pikes Peak in Colorado. We were there to see the All-New Range Rover Sport attempt to set a new record for the accent of Pikes Peak for a standard production SUV. You can see the full story here.

As well as the Pikes Peak accent record attempt, Land Rover were also filming a new television advert around the story.

Pikes Peak is a mountain in the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains within the Pike National Forest. It stands at 14,115 ft high.

New Record

The Range Rover Sport rose to the challenge of the 12.42-mile asphalt course, from a standing start, in 12 minutes 35.61 seconds. This sets a new record for the climb, in a standard production SUV.
